I see alot of kenshi/students have one of these. Also I see the octagon shaped one too! Kenshi that are serious in kendo who is challenging for nationals and world championships, they have one. They would use before the practice to build some strength and muscle. After when they use a normal shinai, they would be able to swing a lot faster men, kote, and do.
